REVEAL DAY IS HERE!! The hours were long this week, my friends. But this “before and after” side by side is worth every long hour and “civilized disagreement” Robert and I have had these past eight weeks. I had almost already forgotten how ugly those original floors were.

Before we get into all of the pretty photos (although I have decided this space is the most frustrating renovation to photograph EVER–the lighting just does not do it justice!), here’s what we accomplished to get this bathroom finished this week:
–had marble countertops installed (thank you, Bradley Stone!)
–Installed the vanity backsplash tile (this gorgeous matte subway tile from the Alexander James Tile shop) after deciding to go with the 3 x 3 square pattern;
–Grouted tile
–Installed new lighting
–built shelf and added brass hardware
–DIY’d this Ikea step stool upgrade (tutorial to come?)
–Installed cabinet doors/drawers and added hardware
–hung these gorgeous mirrors
–finalized a shower curtain choice, and
–did a mad shopping spree at Target to find decor items to finish off the space,
–added black electrical tape to the window for a faux black window look; and
–cleaned, styled, and decorated!

And that’s on top of all the work we’ve done to get to week 8! To recap, we’ve also:
–removed the extra interior door
–installed beadbaord and trim
–painted (Evergreen Fog, Sherwin Williams)
–installed this stunning Mcgee & Co. wallpaper
–built new cabinet doors and drawer fronts; and
–installed penny tile floors.
So now I think we’ll just sit back and appreciate all of our hard work!

It’s so hard for me to choose a favorite element, but these mirrors with the tile backsplash *might* just edge out the penny tile floors.

I am thoroughly jealous of my son’s bathroom now. Maybe I’ll start using this one instead of my own. 😉

Thank you to the One Room Challenge for giving us the greatest push to tackle a bathroom. It’s been such a rewarding experience, and now I’m excited to FINALLY get to enjoy seeing every one else’s rooms! Check them all out here!
Please leave any questions or comments below! I’d love to hear your final thoughts! And come visit me on Instagram to get the full video tour.
P.S. What’s the next room we should renovate?! You know I already have ideas…

Week 1 | Week 2 | Week 3 | Week 4 & 5 | Week 6 | Week 7 | Week 8
Beautiful! Will Robert please do a tutorial on how to build cabinet doors and drawer fronts? I have watched many videos, but most are professional woodworkers, with professional shops and equipment. It would be nice to see one with normal tools that you can buy at a big box store. Again congratulations on the renovation, it is truly stunning,
This looks great!
What color black paint did you use on the vanity?!
SW Black Magic
Where are the mirrors from?
What is the celing color. It compliments the wallpaper .
Pure White by Sherwin Williams
