If you missed it on Instagram, Robert and I recently purchased a new lake house! While lots of fun projects are planned for it, we’re making the most of it this summer. That includes enjoying the outdoor space as much as we can. We have a great patio space that has peek-a-boo views of the lake and I knew immediately I wanted to create a fire pit area that we could enjoy now, but also well into fall.
I also knew I wanted durable, easy to care for, and easy to store furniture. Enter this set of foldable Adirondack chairs from Wayfair. They’re made of high-density composite material that won’t fade, split, crack, chip, peel, or rot when exposed to the elements, which make them perfect for this patio space. I also purchased a small Solo Stove, which provides a smokeless fire experience. It also toasts the perfect marshmallow in record time. Seriously the best marshmallow I’ve ever had! The surround is a great addition for us, because with small kids around, it makes the fire pit feel so much safer (it doesn’t get hot at all while in use). We are so excited to hang in this space all summer (and fall!) long.
